Hello, friends.
I started Caregiver’s World on January 1, 2025.
It’s been a few years now since I was a part-time and then a full-time, live-in caregiver for my parents before they both passed away.
While being their caregiver was rewarding, it was also the hardest period of my life.
Physically.
Emotionally.
Socially.
Financially.
Everything.
It was tough.
I’ve long wanted to do something to help others through this difficult period in their lives because, honestly, I don’t know how some people are able to do it.
Especially if they work full-time jobs,
have family responsibilities,
have their own health problems,
have financial problems,
have little or no support,
etc.
I thought I could use my professional and personal experience to help others, so here I am.
In addition to being a caregiver for my parents, I’ve had several jobs over the years as a Direct Support Professional for people with physical and mental problems.
When I was in college, I worked with troubled teens, people with cerebral palsy, and people with mental problems in group homes.
Before that, I also worked as a transportation orderly in a hospital and learned about patient care.
If you’re a caregiver, no matter how good you are, I’m sure you’re struggling.
I and Caregiver’s World will try to give you some help along the way.
As I remember, every little bit helps.
