Caregiver Assistance
Following is a list of websites and directories that offer resources for financial assistance, equipment loans, or low-cost durable medical equipment (DME), such as wheelchairs, scooter, hospital beds, for family caregivers.

“I have a back injury from years ago. Fortunately, when I was taking care of my mother, she had a hospital bed that could be raised and lowered. I suffered from back pain while helping her, but, without that bed, my pain would have been much worse. It allowed me to put the bed at the level I needed it so that my back would be hurt less.
“If you’re taking care of someone, having a hospital bed and all the other equipment you may need for your loved one, such as wheelchairs, scooters, and walkers, is a blessing.
“While a lot of this equipment can be very expensive, there are several organizations that can help you get what you need or the money to pay for it.”
